I’ve probably mentioned this before, around this time every year, but I really do love planning my kids birthday parties. I love the planning, the shopping 😉 and most of all, their little faces when it all comes together.
This year for the girl’s 6th birthday we decided on an Alice in Wonderland, Mad Hatters Tea party theme. My pinterest board got a workout, searching and pinning my inspiration. I normally start planning months in advance but this party was relatively late notice, only giving myself a month to pull it all together. Mum and I hit the op shops all over Brisbane (maybe not all over but it certainly felt that way!) and found teacups and tea pots, and then more teacups and tea pots! After all, it was a tea party 🙂
Jane, from A Princess Wish, once again entertained the girls, this time as Alice. I don’t know how she does it, but she keeps all the little party guests completely enthralled and stays in character the whole time. I can’t recommend her enough.
A huge thank you to my wonderful Mum, who not only shopped around op shops, but also spent days helping me with the baking (and washing up) and turning my crazy idea into reality. We certainly had a lot of fun (and lots of laughs!)
Another thank you to the the wonderful little party guests, and my dear friend Libby, from Libby Best Photography, who stepped in as official photographer. I got to mingle for a change!
A very merry unbirthday to my girls! xxx
The girls dresses are from: Dollcake
The cute timber placements for the girls table my Mum found (and begged the lovely Mat) from Champagne and Roses up at Woodford.
The adorable little chairs and table I hired from Three Happy Girls.
The remainder of the stuff is now mine and waiting to be stored back in plastic tubs, somewhere. Mad hatters Tea Party anyone?…..
