  • Welcome to my blog!

Thanks for stopping by! I'm a natural light newborn, baby, and little people photographer and absolutely adore what I do. I work from my home in the Brisbane Bayside suburb of Wakerley.
I delved into photography about 15 years ago, studied it for 4 years and earned a Bachelor of Visual Arts in Photography. I wasn't quite sure how I wanted to apply my degree after uni, and I guess it wasn't until I had my first son almost 8 years ago that I realized that this was the area I wanted to pursue.
I now have 4 children, and I never believed it when people said that 'they grow up so fast, right before your eyes', you forget about their little sausage arms and their cute squidgy legs, so I set about capturing my babies grow up, and hopefully yours too......

Photo-a-day ~ February 13th

Trouble comes in two’s…….I was in the laundry (yet again!) and noticed that my genius twins had upturned one of their toy baskets to gain access to the linen cupboard. I not only have linen in the linen cupboard, but a box full of art stuff, including  face paint, you can see where this is going can’t you!….. Not only did Kate colour co-ordinate her face paint with her shirt ( I must admit, I was impressed, she could of gone the green or the blue) they also managed to colour my couch. So yet again I was late to school pick up.  I first took photos of the very cute mess, then cleaned her up and quickly cleaned the couch. I swear, almost every afternoon I have a story as to why I’m late, it must sound like ‘the dog ate my homework!’

Yeeouch! I’m starting to understand what you’re up against. In my battle with my Kate, it’s pretty much one-on-one. Mano-a-mano. And it won’t be long before she starts winning. Some would say – with the recent sunscreen on the couch incident – that she already is.

You’re up against twice the cute-but-evil brainpower.

Good luck in your battle. Our only consolation is that, one day in the distant future, they’ll be doing battle with their own kids. At that time, and with a patronising smile, we can say to them: “Your kids did what? Oh, that must be awful. Paint never comes out of expensive leather. I know this from experience………”.

Yet more little dresses! These cute little frocks were hand sewn by a lovely friend of mine. Not only can she sew up a storm (I’m telling you, her work is faultless!) she also owns a very cool fabric shop. If you are ever after something a little different, stop by Voodoo Rabbit, they stock some awesome fabric, and other cool stuff.

She made these dresses well before the twins arrival, and yesterday was the perfect sunny day to wear them……….you can see how it ended;-)

Beautiful shots again Leesa! The girls look adorable. But I can’t believe that you stood by while Kate took a walloping!

I love these photos, the girls dresses are so pretty. Evie has similar one in red and pink. I have tried to follow your Blog on mine but cant work it out. Is that right? maybe its a type that I cant add to my Blog roll? Hope you are well, i am loving looking at all your pics as always! Lou xo

We went out for brekky this morning (with your lovely neighbours, last time they ask us along I’m sure !) and as soon as we got back home the girls wanted their dresses off – who I was I to argue, it was hot and sticky! (Just thought I’d justify why they are only in nappies;-)

For Christmas, Santa gave them this cute little bag/purse, with all the essentials a girl needs. Including a timber car key, a purse, a mobile phone and a compact. Rose was ‘putting her makeup on’ this morning, oh my goodness it was sooooo cute!! She also tried to apply some to her sister:-)

The pic of little Kate looking all forlorn, was due to the mexican stand-off between her, me, a drink bottle, and the couch……..

oh, and they both love shoes…..what more can I say;-)

Oh drop off zone how I miss you! The expectation with the little prep kids is that you drop them off and collect them from the class room……which would be fine, if there wasn’t a hill the size of Mt Everest and I was pushing a double pram! Couldn’t figure out why my arms were so sore on tuesday night!….yep, pathetic!;-)

PS the hill is much bigger in real life………trust me;-)

Oh, yuck, I really feel for those Mums I see pushing prams up the hills around our school too, especially in the wet weather. And it’s probably their sleep time too…

That looks like me every single morning!
